Donated Di Vece books to benefit WPL

Wiscasset author and folklorist Phil Di Vece has generously donated copies of his books to Wiscasset Public Library with the understanding all proceeds from the sales will be used to benefit library programs.

Di Vece’s easy conversational style is a pleasure to read. His books, all on local history, are full of little known historic events and memories. After deeply studying everything he could find in writing, Di Vece went to the older citizens in town interviewing them, drawing on their memories and experiences to bring early Wiscasset to life in his pages.

The library has copies of all three titles. Wiscasset and Its Times ($15), More Wiscasset and Its Times ($15) and The Wiscasset Town Crier ($12). This is a great opportunity to get the entire set or to fill in a copy you may be missing. These also make a great holiday gift for someone who enjoys dipping into local history. The library has a limited supply so come in and make your purchase soon.
