Edgar Greenlaw Bradley
Edgar Greenlaw Bradley, born October 11, 1937, died February 23, 2013.
He was born in Maine to parents Melville Greenlaw Bradley and Flora Hunnawell. He was raised in Woolwich and Boothbay Harbor.
He was predeceased by his brother, John Bradley of Boothbay Harbor, and sister, Gertrude Baker of Woolwich.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Greenlaw Bradley of Boothbay Harbor; and two sisters, Victoria Schumacher of Falmouth and Sadie Dow of Portland.
Edgar was a master mechanic with a passion for Ford and Harley Davidson products. He earned a pilot's license in 1997 and owned a single prop Cessna aircraft. He lived a colorful life in many ways. He represented local beverage company Hosma soda in several radio advertisements.
An animal lover, Edgar had many cats over his lifetime. He gave them unusual names and recounted stories about their activities.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation to Cats Northeast in Mansfield Center, Conn., or the Coastal Humane Society in Brunswick is made in his memory.
Services will be held at Murphy's Corner cemetery in Woolwich, Saturday June 8 at 1 p.m.
