Oliver Averill received the Edgecomb Historical Society Award June 18. BILL PEARSON/Boothbay RegisterThirteen Edgecomb Eddy sixth graders graduated June 18 in an hour-long ceremony in the school gymnasium. The Class of 2026 is as follows: Oliver Averill, Logan Barter, Therin Barter-Petersen, Adele Demmons, Henry Emerson, Noah Farmer, Arzetta Garey, Avery Hanna, Lyla Joyce, Madison Merrill, Eric Laub, Zachary Peters and Keira Whitt.
School officials also named recipients of the academic, arts, Sierra Leone, and Edgecomb Historical Society awards. Lyla Joyce received the Academic Award. Arzetta Gray received the Sara Leone Outstanding Citizenship Award. Oliver Averill received the Edgecomb Historical Society Award. Two students received the Arts Award: Eric Laub and Adele Demmons.
Four students were recognized for perfect attendance. Therin Barter-Peterson was the only sixth grader with perfect attendance. Other Edgecomb Eddy students recognized for perfect attendance were Levi Murray, second grade; Sofia Buscanera, first grade; and Lincoln Chouinard, fifth grade.
