The Edgecomb Historical Society will meet Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Edgecomb Community Church, 15 Cross Point Rd., Edgecomb.

Rather than spoil your Thanksgiving turkey, we will meet on the third Thursday of the month, rather than the fourth. After a brief business meeting and update on the Smithy Project, we continue to explore the history of Edgecomb with a talk on mica mines and a Mount Hunger murder, featuring our Wiscasset journalist and former publisher of the Wiscasset Times, Phil Di Vece, as our guest speaker.

His talk will be based on his recent book, "More Wiscasset and Its Times, Other Stories of Maine’s Prettiest Village."
