Elaine Francis Colby Moore, 82, of Dracut Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Aug. 14, 2026.

She was born in Wiscasset, Maine on Oct. 17, 1943 to Margaret and Perley Colby. She attended Wiscasset schools, and after graduating went onto work as a medical assistance in a doctor’s office and a secretary at BIW in Bath Maine.

Elaine relocated to Massachusetts where she worked as a property manager, along with her husband, Harry Moore. After retiring, she returned to care for her mother and also worked as a school bus driver. Driving the children was Elaine’s most rewarding and fulfilling job. She loved her children and in return they loved her.

Elaine and her late husband Harry together they loved boating and spending time in Newburyport. Elaine’s hobbies included gardening, shopping, and going to movies with friends.

Family was the heart of Elaine’s life. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Perley; sisters, Patricia Amirault and Linda Delano, and her husband Teddy; a son Eric Moore and her beloved granddaughter Sarah Roderick.

Elaine is survived by her two daughters, Diane Roderick her husband, Brian of Connecticut and Christine Sullivan, her husband, Scott of Massachusetts and daughter-in-law, Debbie Moore of Wiscasset. Elaine had 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Alyssa, Joshua, Michael, Katelynn, Jeffrey, Danielle, Hollie, Scott Jr, and 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elaine will be remembered for her kindness, memories and love will live on through the many people’s lives she touched. She will be truly missed by her family and friends, especially by her two daughters. To them Elaine was not only their mother but a true friend.

A celebration of life will be held at Montsweag Resturant on 942 U.S. Route 1, Woolwich Maine on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 1 to 5 p.m.
