On April 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a trail workshop at the Hidden Valley Nature Center. Trail builders will be from knowledgeable and experience folks. Also Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forest will lead the discussions.

Chainsaw safety classes will be held on April 21 and 28. Come learn how to buy and safely use it and the gear to wear from skilled instructors, Tish Carr, (Maine licensed arborist) and Pete Tracy and John Cullen, certified logging professionals bringing 80 years of experience with them. The Alna Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Baked Bean Supper on April 13 form 4:30-6 p.m., at fire station. On the menu will be beans, ham, salads, deserts and beverage. The usual Pie Auction and 50/50 raffle will be held.
