This Friday, Aug. 3, local artist Mark Mellor and his son Devin will be exhibiting their work together for the first time at the Mellors' Oak Street Gallery. Their joint open house will feature Mark’s well-known watercolors and Devin’s début photos from 5 to 7 p.m. as part of the First Friday Arts Tour.

Devin Mellor graduated from Skidmore College this spring. While at Skidmore, he took photos for the college newspaper and was a member of the student photography club. He has entered photos in the 2012 Maine Photography Show and Skidmore’s Creative Thought Matters Photo Contest. His shots have been used by Skidmore College for posters, information packets, and the college web site. Devin collection features Maine themed images, as well as shots from Skidmore and the United Kingdom, where he studied at King’s College London.
