Final flu clinics this weekend

Tue, 10/27/2020 - 7:30am

LincolnHealth’s successful drive-up flu clinics will come to a close this weekend.

The final clinics will take place Saturday, Oct. 31, from noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Webster Van Winkle Building on the Miles campus in Damariscotta and at the Family Care Center on the St. Andrews campus.

Participants drive up to register (please remember your insurance card), then move on to receive the vaccination while remaining in the car. The clinics are open to ages 7 and up, and it’s a good idea to wear a short-sleeved shirt to make it easier to administer the vaccine. All insurances except TriCare are accepted.

More than 1,000 people have been vaccinated since the drive-up clinics began in the first weekend of October. If you have a child under age 7 who needs a vaccine or if you cannot make these clinics, appointments can be made at these Lincoln Medical Partners offices on the following days and times:

Boothbay Harbor: Every Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Family Care Center, 19 St. Andrews Lane. Call 633-7820 for an appointment

Waldoboro: Every Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., 592 West Main Street. Call 832-6394 for an appointment

Wiscasset: Every Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, 49 Hooper Street. Call 882-7911 for an appointment
