Fun, fire prevention in Woolwich

Woolwich Fire Department’s annual open house Wednesday evening, Oct. 17 drew area residents of all ages to the firehouse.

Also on hand were many first responders from Wiscasset, Bath and Brunswick. Sagadahoc County EMA and SERVEPRO Fire & Water Cleanup had information tables and the ladies fire auxiliary made baked goods.

Members of the Morse High School cheerleading squad volunteered to monitor the kids’ bounce house and firefighter’s pole. Sparky the Fire Dog made an appearance, too. The event included lots of fire trucks to see, including antique ones; fire prevention information; and free hot dogs and popcorn, all of which made for a fun evening.
