Get connected: Off the grid and within your hearts

Sat, 10/29/2022 - 8:15am

Hearty Roots operates with the core purpose of getting kids “off the grid and into their hearts.” Now parents and community members want to be a part of this beautifully cultivated journey. So, Hearty Roots has answered the call and is launching a new social media model with recurring posts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. What can followers expect? The same Hearty Roots inspiration that is integral to the organization.

On Tuesdays, "Off the Grid" posts will provide followers with an inspirational window into outdoor skill building, local trails, program updates, and adventure stories from kids, staff and community. Maybe you can’t join your kiddo "Off the Grid" as they adventure with Hearty Roots, but our new, theme-based posts can make families and our greater community feel as if they are journeying alongside.

Want more? Sure you do! The weeks are long and our work is deep. So, Thursdays are reserved for "Into Your Heart” updates. When a child participates in a Hearty Roots expedition, they are invited to participate in mindfulness activities, breath work, intentional reflections, creative expression activities, and journaling. These mindful offerings are key components of the social emotional work Hearty Roots incorporates into all its adventures. Recipients of our newly-formatted social media posts will experience journal prompts, reflection tools, parent resources, inspirational ideas and quotes. Take a peek inside our “Into Your Heart” posts to find words written by the next generation, meant to inspire us all.
