Time, tides and rubber duckies wait for no man.
On Friday, July 11 the tide wasted no time in carrying hundreds of rubber duckies into the Damariscotta River during the annual Pemaquid Watershed Association rubber ducky race in Damariscotta and Newcastle.
Crowds lined Business Route 1 as the ducks were released from a little way upriver. What started as an amorphous yellow blob soon became a line of rubber duckies bobbing and being pulled along by a strong current.
