Early last week, Healthy Kids received a phone call from Randy Miller at Newcastle, Chrysler, Dodge Truck and Jeep asking if Healthy Kids could deliver children's gifts if they did a toy drive with a $50 gift card toward any service that they offer. Healthy Kids accepted thinking there would be some nice toys added to the already generous donations of quilts and books they receive every year from area organizations. A press release was placed in the paper last week with the deadline of Monday, December 21. Monday morning arrived and there are over 200 toys and $790 in cash to buy needed clothing and food or oil for families in need.

This is a difficult time for many. Healthy Kids received a call from a homeless single mom with three boys just yesterday. We are so happy to be able to give gifts to families such as this, as well as our current clients. In addition, Healthy Kids called the CLC Ycare program to share the wealth with families utilizing that program.

Healthy Kids is grateful to Randy and all the friends at Newcastle Chrysler for making Christmas a little merrier for those less fortunate.
