The preliminary investigation showed that a 2004 Subaru Legacy four-door vehicle was traveling eastbound on Route 17 while driven by Robert E. Crowe, 55, of ThomastonJacob B. Stevenson, 25, of Damariscotta was driving a 2019 Dodge RAM truck westbound on Route 17.

The preliminary investigation showed the Crowe vehicle was eastbound when it crossed the center line into the path of the Stevenson vehicle.  The two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane.

The Crowe vehicle had a female passenger, Hailey J. Robinson, 26, of Thomaston. Both Robinson and Crowe died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Robinson was wearing a seatbelt.  Crowe was not, and was ejected from the vehicle.

The Stevenson vehicle was occupied by Stevenson, Amy Green, 25, of Damariscotta and Allen M. Bowman, 26, of Waldoboro. All three were wearing seatbelts and there was full airbag deployment.
