Celebrate summer with The Lincoln Home from 3 to 4 p.m. on Monday, July 20, in the home’s living room, listening to the eloquent and pure tones of vocalist Julie Thompson.

Having studied voice in high school and college in the her native state of Maine, Thompson's classical training is her foundation for her folk and jazz work.

Thompson has opened for the Kingston Trio, toured for 10 years with the New-England-based “Julie & Brownie,” and has appeared on CMN and TNN in TJ Booker’s music video Wine into Water. Besides publishing songs, she is an internationally published author and narrator of several children’s books.

“Julie Thompson sings with a style that is silky and soulful. Her lyrical voice bypasses the mind and goes straight to the heart. Her honesty, gentleness, and musical literacy are hallmarks of her engaging performances,” said Joe Jencks, a singer songwriter from Chicago.
