June 21 update: Knox County records its third COVID-19 hospitalization

AUGUSTA — The Maine CDC has updated its list, June 21, of COVID-19 cases in the state of Maine.

Today, there are 2,957 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases across the state, including 2,629 confirmed cases and 328 probable cases. 

Across the state, 2,391 people have recovered from COVID-19, while 102 people have died. The number of people hospitalized, at some point during their illness, across the state stands at 336.

Looking at hospital COVID-19 data, there are currently 26 hospitalized, including 11 in critical care and five on a ventilator. There are 147 available critical care beds out of 385 total and 266 available ventilators of 319 total and 441 alternative ventilators. 

By sex, 1,514 females have tested positive in the state and 1,443 males have tested positive.

The below cases represents the number of full-time Maine residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC. 

Each day, the Maine CDC updates its COVID-19 data on its website with the latest coronavirus numbers from across the state. Today’s update came at 12:40 p.m.
