Kathleen “Kat” Lewis, 62, of Vassalboro, formerly of Boothbay, died December 23 at Maine General Hospital in Waterville.

She was born November 18, 1950 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Otis and Naomi Knight Self. Kat grew up in Southern California and attended local schools. She served in the Army National Guard in the 1970s.

She was very proud to be the executive secretary of the United Bikers of Maine.

She enjoyed babysitting, cats, going for motorcycle rides and had a great love of children. She was like a mom to many of her son, Jeffery’s friends. She will be missed dearly by her family.

She was predeceased by a son, Johnny, and by her husband Kenneth Lewis.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffery C. Miller of Vassalboro and Lonny R. Miller Jr., of Arkansas; daughters, Pony Kay Hoppes of California, Dawn Ortiz of New York and Paula Oschman of New York; sister, Terry Bennett of Lewiston; and granddaughter, Jazmyne Lewis of Wiscasset.
