Last call for tickets to Champagne on the Sheepscot fundraiser

Mon, 08/26/2019 - 12:30pm

Join fellow conservationists on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. to sip Champagne, enjoy oysters from Nice Oysters and gourmet appetizers from Café Miranda, at a stunning private home in Alna on the shores of the Sheepscot River. Jazz music will be provided by the Lincoln Academy Five O’Clock combo.

Alna artist Kate Nordstrom has donated a painting for the event raffle. A stunning triptych of a salmon, the 36” x 10” painting pays tribute to 2019 being the International Year of the Salmon. To see the painting and buy raffle tickets ($10 for 1, $20 for 3), go to https://www.midcoastconservancy.org/events/champagne-on-the-sheepscot-2/ Winners need not be present to win.

All proceeds support Midcoast Conservancy’s work caring for over 12,000 acres of currently conserved lands, maintaining its trail systems, protecting the water quality of the lakes and rivers in Midcoast Maine and supporting healthy communities with outdoor learning and adventure.

Major sponsors of this year's Champagne on the Sheepscot include ReVision Energy, Ames True Value Hardware & Supply in Wiscasset, and Cellardoor Winery; other local businesses have also contributed, including Treats and Sheepscot Valley Brewing. Tickets are $60 per person, and are available now until Sept. 10 from Midcoast Conservancy by going https://www.midcoastconservancy.org/events/champagne-on-the-sheepscot-2/, calling 389-5150, or emailing info@midcoastconservancy.org
