LincolnHealth reported encouraging testing data June 22 with only one positive case among 255 tests for the week of June 14. The trend of less than a percent of positive cases continues for the second week down to 0.36% from the last update’s 0.8%.

LincolnHealth’s John Martins said the Watson Center clinic administered 95 doses of which 17 were first doses. “We also returned to Waldoboro with a ‘pop up’ clinic and gave 66 second doses and 18 first doses.  Waldoboro is up to a 70 percent vaccination rate.”

Martins said while Waldoboro’s numbers are encouraging, 2,000 people remain unvaccinated. He said LincolnHealth will continue to hold pop-up clinics in hopes of boosting the area’s vaccination numbers.
LincolnHealth will soon be revising its visitation policy and patient screening practices, though final changes do not have a set date, said Martins. “(But) it looks like we’re shooting to have vaccine available in our primary care practices the week of July 5.”
