Louise A. (Saulnier) Molter, 88, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts passed away on Nov. 1, 2022 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Louise was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Ernest and Aurelie (Goguen) Saulnier and her siblings Annette, Ernest, Elaine and Roland.

Louise and her beloved husband “Sonny” Leo Molter Jr. were happily married for 67 years until his passing in May of 2021. Louise and Sonny bought and rebuilt a summer cottage at Ocean Point in Boothbay, Maine where spending time in her rocking chair appreciating the ocean view was one of her greatest joys. Louise also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and needle work while caring for her family.

Later in her life Louise and Sonny established and built a family business, Sonny’s Trailer Repairs in Lunenburg, Massachusetts. After their retirement, Louise designed, cut, painted and sold wood crafts at crafts shows with Sonny always by her side.

Louise leaves her children, son, “Butch” Leo Molter III and his wife Bethany; daughter, “Cricket” Lois Haley and her husband Thomas; three grandchildren, Todd Molter, Erin McKechnie, and Kevin Haley; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At her request there will be no planned funeral services or calling hours.
