'Maine en Plein Air' at Coco Vivo
Coco Vivo Fine Art/Interior Design, 129 Commercial Street, Boothbay Harbor will hold an opening reception for its show, “Maine en Plein Air,” on Friday, July 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. The show runs until July 21.
Painting communities have been supported for centuries by talented artists creating magnificent works of art; Monhegan, Rockport, Boothbay Harbor and Ogunquit are just a few of the many that flourish along coastal Maine. Painters are drawn to Maine’s rocky coast, wooden wharfs, active lobstering and fishing, creating artworks of both its pristine coastal shores and rugged fishing folk.
Works by some of America’s leading painters in plein air, Stuart Roper, Kathleen Billis, Dee beard Dean, Tony van Hasselt, Richard Hasenfus, Greg Laderer, Ronald Parry, John Caggiano and Terry Richards, are available for the first time especially for this art show at Coco Vivo in Boothbay Harbor.
“Previewing the show, I was consumed by the beauty of the everyday life that each artist articulates with light, shadows, and a feeling of inner movements, even though the setting is silent,” said avid collector, Jeanette Nicholson.
Maine en Plein Air offers artworks capturing a moment in time along this rugged coast; it is sure to be a favorite among art lovers and collectors. Please join us for the opening reception July 6, of course en plein air.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For more information, call 633-0671, visit www.cocovivofineart.com, or email info@cocovivofineart.com.
