Marilyn Lee Teele

Marilyn Lee Teele, 55, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at her home in Boothbay.

She was born March 16, 1955 in Augusta to Merrill and Dorothy Jackson.

Marilyn grew up in Waldoboro and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in the Class of 1973. 

She enjoyed working in the hay fields with her father and brothers. Her early years were spent growing vegetables in the family garden. That gave Marilyn a lifelong love of gardening, whether it was vegetables, flowers or plants, Marilyn truly had a green thumb. She loved dressing up and was known for being a sharp dresser, especially by her loving husband, Burton. She worked at several convenience stores in the area.

She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Rodney John Jackson, Michael Allen Jackson, and Richard Todd Jackson.

She is survived by her husband, Burton W. Teele Jr. of Boothbay; sisters, Joyce Jackson and husband Donald Prior of Cushing and Suzanne Hawkins of Summerfield, N.C.; brothers, Ronald Jackson and wife Donna of Washington and James Jackson of Waldoboro; aunt, Barbara Jenness of Atherns; sisters-in-law, Virginia Call of Florida, Peanut Harnish and her husband Frank of Newcastle; Bridget Palino and her husband Teddy of Florida, and Gladys Collamore of Bremen; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family is planning a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marilyn’s memory to the American Heart Association, 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074.

Arrangements are entrusted to Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Boothbay.
