We have a very good friend who searches for faces in photographs.

By this I mean that she looks at a photograph, not just for its overall interest, but for what additionally can be found within it.

This is really cool, sort of a photo bonus. You get the big picture and the possibility of finding more.

I am reminded of our friend Lonnie Sisson’s comment to me when talking about paintings he has done over the years. Lonnie said that within the larger work there were all sorts of very complete smaller scenes. He pointed these out to me by selecting areas of a painting with a small mat board frame. It was fascinating, I had never viewed art with that in mind.

So, within this week’s image (and perhaps other photos) of clouds over our lovely region, maybe other interesting compositions can be found. Pretty neat to think that there may be more to see than I saw.
