The Novel Jazz Septet will be in performance for an evening of swinging jazz, at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

This year marks the 21st anniversary of this Maine-based and swinging group dedicated to the music of Duke Ellingtonk and his musical sidekick, Billy Strayhorn. Novel will be presenting its 2025 show of newly-found and arranged compositions by the Duke and Strays, as well as other notable members of Ellington’s illustrious orchestra.
