Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 5 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 281 calls for service for the period of Dec. 16 to Dec. 22. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 13,912 calls for service.
Arrests
Grace M. Shadis, 36, of Newcastle was arrested Dec. 16 for Domestic Violence Assault and Operating under the Influence, on Pleasant Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Peter W. Witwicki, 65, of Randolph was arrested Dec. 16 on two warrants, one out of Lincoln County for Failure to Appear for charges of Unauthorized Use of Property and one out of Cumberland County for Failure to Appear for charges of Operating after Suspension; Attaching False Plates and Unlawful Furnishing of Scheduled Drugs, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Gautam C. Harkhani, 35, of Erwin, Texas was arrested Dec. 17 on a Bucks County Pennsylvania warrant for Felony Theft and Criminal Conspiracy, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Brent Pitcher, 45, of Washington was arrested Dec. 18 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – OUI and Violating Condition of Release, on Waldoboro Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Jeffrey Rogers.
Jean F. Schopmann, 51, of Windsor was arrested Dec. 18 for Motor Vehicle Speeding: 30+ MPH Over Speed Limit and Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – Prior, on Rockland Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Jeffrey Rogers.
Accidents
On Dec. 16, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Roland F. Abbott, 68, of Edgecomb. Mr. Abbott was operating his 2014 Nissan Frontier northbound when a deer entered the roadway and ran into the side of his vehicle and struck the front passenger’s door and slid down the side of the truck, causing a dent in the bottom of the rear passenger door. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 16, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Michelle E. Knowlton, 54, of Waldoboro. Ms. Knowlton was operating her 2021 GMC Terrain southbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 17, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Nicholas W. Plumer, 50, of Bristol. Mr. Plumer was operating his 2012 Toyota Tacoma westbound when he observed a deer enter the roadway from the westbound ditch and struck it. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 20, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Donna L. Denniston, 74, of Trevett. Ms. Denniston was operating her 2022 Honda CR-V southbound when she attempted to turn left (east) into the parking lot of Vera Idyllic Pizza. Denniston missed the driveway and drove into the ditch, causing front end damage. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 20, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Kevin M. McAloney, 29, of Jefferson. Mr. McAloney was operating his 2018 Toyota RAV4 southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right and was struck. Sgt. Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
