New exhibit at Round Top
A special showing of the works of two prize-winning artists will be held Aug. 17 through 22 at the Round Top Farm Gallery on Business Route 1 in Damariscotta.
The exhibition titled, “Reflections and Images of New England” will feature the latest work of Jennifer Litchfield, oil and acrylic artist, and Peter Jeziorski, watercolor artist.
Both painters have exhibited their work in the Midcoast area for many years. Now, they have pooled their efforts to present this major showing of their latest works of the New England scene. The exhibition will be an interesting mix of Litchfield’s colorful abstracts and impressionist landscapes, and Jeziorski’s realistic coastal and village scenes. Also exhibiting some of her stone sculptures will be Donna Denniston of Boothbay Harbor.
Litchfield, a resident of Trevett, began her art career over 15 years ago after moving to Maine from Australia. Her original pastel work won numerous awards. In recent years, she has turned her talents to oils and acrylics, and the coming show will feature these media.
Jeziorski began his art career as a student at the American Academy of Art and later at the Art Institute of Chicago. Throughout the years, he has exhibited and won awards from watercolor societies in New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, and Illinois. He began painting Maine scenes 10 years ago when he moved to New England.
An artist reception will be held Aug. 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Round Top Gallery prior to the Salt Bay Chamberfest concert that evening at the Round Top Farm, a community facility owned and managed by the Damariscotta River Association.
