Paulette Ann (Benner) Brown, 63 of Edgecomb, died Friday, April 5, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born to Susie and Willard Benner on New Year’s Day in 1950 in Boothbay Harbor.

Paulette grew up on Fullerton Street, Boothbay Harbor where she later raised her six children, Tina, Tracy, Joe, Rachel, Misty and Andrew. Paulette always took care of anyone in need. She was often called mom by friends of her kids. Neighborhood children always fell in love with her, calling her “Nana.”

Paulette loved horses and riding with her family. She will be remembered sitting on the porch every sunny day, all day long. She was known to give great advice and she always knew what to say.  Her kids were everything to her. She would stand up to giants for her kids. Paulette instilled old school family morals in her kids that prove to be rare these days.

Paulette is survived by her children, Tina, Tracy, Joe, Misty and Andrew;  grandchildren Kaitlin, Zachary, Abigail, Ashley, Molly, Avery, Alec, Brandi, Sean, Alyssa, and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Mikaela, Kierstin, Xander, Azara and Kaden;  brother, Dick Benner; sister, Suzanne Raudenbush;  and many others who called her Auntie, Nana or Mom.

A private service will be held at a later date.
