Real estate firm 'adopts' Trout Brook Preserve
The Roy Farmer Associates/Carleton Group real estate firm of Wiscasset and Bath is sponsoring Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association’s (SVCA) Trout Brook Preserve in Alna with a generous $500 donation.
The annual donation supports maintenance of the kiosk and the parking lot as well as staff time needed to oversee the wonderful volunteer efforts in maintaining the trails.
The preserve was acquired by the SVCA in three transactions from 2005 to 2007, includes thousands of feet of frontage on picturesque Trout Brook and on the Sheepscot River and features two hiking trails that lead to the rolling and otherwise difficult-to access interior of the property along the brook.
Roy Farmer is a long-time SVCA member, and recently retired from the Association’s Lands Committee. “I think I’ve been a member of SVCA since its beginning,” he said. “I’ve always supported it, and adoption of this beautiful and centrally located preserve is a way for our firm to continue that support.”
The SVCA is very grateful for this important support. If your business or group would like to adopt a preserve, call Kristin at 207-586-5616.
