Each May, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) celebrates Older Americans Month to recognize older Americans for their contributions to the nation. This year, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act, the focus is on how older adults are taking charge of their health, getting engaged in their communities, and making a positive impact in the lives of others. Start by coming to the Coastal Center for morning coffee on Friday, May 29 at 9 a.m. to celebrate the achievements of older adults in our area. Share your story or that of an extraordinary elder in your life one who has enriched the lives of others through their involvement in the community.
