“Pavarotti” -  From the film making team behind the highly-acclaimed documentary “The Beatles: Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years,” this riveting film lifts the curtain on the icon who brought opera to the people. Academy Award (R) winner Ron Howard puts audiences front row center for an exploration of The Voice ... The Man ... The Legend. Luciano Pavarotti gave his life to the music and a voice to the world. This cinematic event features history-making performances and intimate interviews, including never-before-seen footage and cutting-edge Dolby Atmos technology. “All is True” - Starring Sir Kenneth Branaugh, Dame Judi Dench and Sir Ian McKellen, the year is 1613, Shakespeare is acknowledged as the greatest writer of the age. But disaster strikes when his renowned Globe Theatre burns to the ground, and devastated, Shakespeare returns to Stratford, where he must face a troubled past and a neglected family. Haunted by the death of his only son Hamnet, he struggles to mend the broken relationships with his wife and daughters. In so doing, he is ruthlessly forced to examine his own failings as husband and father. “Hamlet”  -  National Theatre Live Encore -  Captured live, October 2015. Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game, Frankenstein at the National Theatre) takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy. Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, National Theatre Live will broadcast this eagerly awaited production live to cinemas. As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralyzed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state. “Late Night” - Katherine Newbury (Dame Emma Thompson) is a pioneer and legendary host on the late-night talk-show circuit. When she's accused of being a "woman who hates women," she puts affirmative action on the to-do list, and --presto!-- Molly (Mindy Kaling) is hired as the one woman in Katherine's all-male writers' room. But Molly might be too little too late, as the formidable Katherine also faces the reality of low ratings and a network that wants to replace her. Wanting to prove she's not merely a diversity hire who's disrupting the comfort of the brotherhood, Molly is determined to help Katherine revitalize her show and career--and possibly effect even bigger change at the same time. "Cyrano de Bergerac" is an award-winning production of 6 Moliere Awards (the equivalent of the American Tonys). Presented in French with English subtitles. “Schoolhouse Rock JR!” -  Y-Arts Summer Camp presentation - Tom, a young schoolteacher, is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs such as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life. Y-ARTS Theater Music Camp is for Grades 1-9. Campers immerse themselves in the art of musical theatre during this two-week day camp, which focuses on all areas of the dramatic arts and culminates on a junior Broadway musical. Come see and support the stars of the future! Performances Wednesday, July 17 at noon and 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.
