Dear Editor:

I write today to endorse Cameron Reny for Senate District 13. Having served four years in the Legislature--and two as our State Senator--I know that Cameron will represent our community well.

I am excited about Cameron's candidacy for two main reasons. First, she knows who we are and where we've come from. She has grown up here, built her life here, worked here, and now is raising her family here. We need a Senator who will fight to keep our culture alive, to respect our past.

Cameron is also a strong young mother and educator who knows that we need to build a strong foundation for the future. It's not just an idea to her. It's required for the rest of her life and for her children. She has experience fighting for issues she cares deeply about as an advocate, leader, and union member. She is a strong facilitator, forward thinker, and problem solver who actively teaches effective communication skills to adults and will use these skills to get things accomplished in Augusta. 

Lastly, Cameron is focused on values, not politics. She knows what we need here in District 13, and she won't be afraid to fight for it because her commitment is to our values as a community.

Although I am very sad to step away from representing you, I am so excited that Cameron is running to represent you. I'm excited to support her, and I hope that you will too.
