This week at the Lincoln Theater
CatVideoFest 2025 - (NR; 1 hour, 14 minutes) - A compilation of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses. Great for audiences of all ages. Each year, across the country, local theaters partner with nearby cat-focused charities, animal welfare associations and shelters alike — 10% of ticket proceeds from every show goes directly to local cats in need. 10% of Lincoln Theater's ticket sales will go to support Midcoast Humane, Edgecomb. "Earth Song" - Salt Bay Chamberfest - Enjoy Mahler‘s Rückert-Lieder, Chen‘s Returning Souls and Mahler‘s“Der Abschied” from "Das Lied von der Erde" (arr. Ferree), and featuring Kate Aldrich, soprano; Aaron Boyd, violin; Kyu-Young Kim, violin; Jonathan Vinocour, viola; Wilhelmina Smith, cello; Gregg August, bass; Cassie Pilgrim, oboe; Alicia Lee, clarinet; David Byrd-Marrow, horn; Bridget Kibbey, harp; and Ayano Kataoka, percussion. "Hundreds of Beavers" - (NR; 1 hour, 42 minutes) - In this 19th century, supernatural, slapstick winter epic, a drunken applejack salesman must go from zero to hero and become the greatest fur trapper by defeating hundreds of beavers. "Kubo and the Two Strings" - (PG; 1 hour, 42 minutes) - FREE! - The final film in the summer film series: Color Our World! Presented in collaboration with Skidompha Library, this selection of films was inspired by their Summer Reading Program. Young Kubo's (Art Parkinson) peaceful existence comes crashing down when he accidentally summons a vengeful spirit from the past. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Matthew McConaughey) to unlock a secret legacy.
