WES students visit Chewonki

Fifth grade students at Wiscasset Elementary School recently spent an adventure filled day at Chewonki.
The students extended their classroom studies of photosynthesis to the forest ecosystem at Chewonki. They also toured the farm to meet several animals, including horses, and then learned about how the farm composts.
Team-building activities included problem solving on a seesaw bridge. All the students returned to school enthusiastic to continue their learning.
