Winter storm on way
Ole Man Winter is alive and kicking in February.
A predicted 4 to 6 inches of snow for the Feb. 5 storm turned into 10 to 12 inches.
And just three days later we're preparing for another storm to begin later this afternoon in the Midcoast and continue through Tuesday, Feb. 9, according to the National Weather Service.
Accumulation estimates of light and fluffy snow are highest for us here on the coast at around 6 to 8 inches. Temps will only reach the mid 20s.
Northeast winds will be at 20-30 mph, with gusts of up to 40 mph.
Tonight, with lows in the high teens north winds will range from 30-40 mph, decreasing gusts of 30 mph after the midnight hour. The windchill factor will drop temps down to 2 degrees.
Blowing snow should be expected, and, quite possibly school will be canceled on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Snow should conclude by midday.
