Wiscasset’s tree lighting was already going to be different this year, without Santa and with masked residents caroling along the common instead of school chorus members elbow to elbow on the steps of First Congregational Church of Wiscasset. Due to the weather forecast for snow and rain, the event will now be different in yet another way: Parks and Recreation Director Duane Goud told Wiscasset Newspaper Friday afternoon, Saturday’s caroling and tree-lighting are moving to Sunday.

The times are the same, 4 to 5:30 p.m, with the tree lit at 4:30, Goud said.
