Wiscasset selectmen set June elections tonight
Wiscasset selectmen May 6 are slated to sign the warrant for the June 10 elections. Multiple seats on the School Committee, Board of Selectmen, Water District and Budget Committee will be on the ballot. Polls at the Wiscasset Community Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Also on tap tonight are Ridgeback Pottery’s and Forgotten Recipes’ requests to be vendors on the Main Street Pier, and a hearing on a proposed change to Twisted Iron Customs’ special amusement permit. The one approved in January lets the Route 1 business host events on the first Wednesday of every month. The request is to switch that to the first Friday of every month, according to Interim Town Manager Don Gerrish’s notes to selectmen.
The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. for a closed-door session on legal issues regarding Mason Station; the rest of the agenda gets under way at 7 p.m.
