Wiscasset selectmen to sign town meeting warrant
Wiscasset selectmen on May 20 are set to finalize their budget offer that goes to town meeting voters on May 31. The meeting warrant they sign will have their recommendations and those of the budget committee, on a dollar amount for each department and capital spending.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the municipal building’s meeting room.
So far, both panels have supported a $150,000 roof replacement for the Wiscasset Community Center, but have differed on some items, including whether or not to include a school resource officer in the proposed police department budget.
Also tonight, representatives of Wiscasset High School will thank the community for its support of the school’s participation in WGME’s “Spirit Challenge.” The school won, by raising the largest number of pounds of food for Good Shepherd Food Bank.
