I just happened to have seen a catchy little movie called “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Friday evening and for sure, the movie was terrific. The special effects were great as were the cast. But what made it special for me was where I saw the movie – in a sweet little theater in Boothbay Harbor called The Harbor Theatre. I’d never been there before and didn’t realize what a local gem this theater is, with ample parking, reasonable prices and I got a “senior” discount for being 62 or older. Looks like I’ll be going to the movies more often!

Well, due to the snow storm on Dec. 29 there was no cribbage tournament. Then, of course, because of New Year’s Eve there wasn’t a tournament on Thursday either. Now that the holidays are behind us, hopefully the weather will cooperate and cribbage will be back on track.

The next public supper will be Wednesday, Jan. 13 featuring beef tips with gravy. Call 207-882-8230 at least two days in advance for meal reservations.
