The Wolff brothers
Darryl and Keith Wolff of Lincolnville were co-nominees for the Boothbay Register/Wiscasset Newspaper “Flagperson of the Week” series this week.
“We always work together,” said Darryl Wolff, 60, who said that working as a team saved on commuting expenses. They were stationed on Academy Hill Road in Newcastle on Thursday.
They both work for @team subcontractors. That day they were assigned to Asplundh treelimbing along utility lines. They both have been flagging for two years.
“Bored, I will have to say that,” said Darryl Wolff, adding, “There is always something going on.”
He said that he is not allowed to listen to music on the job.
“I sing to myself,” he said.
Asked what is his favorite story, Darryl Wolff could not think of one special incident.
“I saw a moose cross in front of me. He must have thought better of it because he crossed right back,” said Keith Wolff.
Asked whether he liked the work Darryl Wolff said, “Oh, yes.”
