World War I Presentation: ‘Spirits of the Argonne’ at The Lincoln Home
Wed, 08/12/2015 - 8:30am
The Great War, or World War I was thought to be the war to end all wars, instead it was the birthplace of 20th century conflict and the stepping stone for the emergence of the United States as a Global power.
Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Taylor V. Beattie provides his World War I talk "Spirits of the Argonne."
A captivating presentation concerning his modern day exploration of the now quieted, poppy strewn, battlefields of the American Expeditionary Force hidden within in the Argonne forest of France.
We welcome the public to join us on Monday, Aug. 17, from 3:00 to 4 p.m. in our living room, overlooking the beautiful Damariscotta River.
The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, Newcastle. For more information, call Activities Director Rhonda Hanna at 207-563-3350.
