Healthy Kids playgroup enjoyed learning about old narrow gauge trains at the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum on Wednesday, July 31.

“My kids love to visit these places we wouldn’t go on our own,” said one mom.

Healthy Kids offers parents of children 0-5 weekly time in both Damariscotta and Boothbay to socialize with other parents and children. Playgroups are free of charge unless otherwise specified, and there is always a fun activity and healthy snack.

The next field trips are scheduled for Aug. 19 at the Morris Farm in Wiscasset, Aug. 21 at Ocean Point in East Boothbay and Aug. 28 at the Maine State Aquarium. The cost for the aquarium is $2.

Regularly scheduled playgroups are listed on the calendar page of Healthy Kids website, www.healthykidsmaine.org or you can call 563-1818 for more information.
