Stone carving workshops return at River Arts
Stone carving is addictive and very satisfying. River Arts in Damariscotta is again offering its popular, summer stone carving workshops taught by Andy Serferlis. Students can participate in either weeklong workshop or both!
Week I begins July 30 through August 3, and Week II from August 6 through 10. Workshop hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for beginners or practiced hands.
Bring your own limestone, or let us know if you need one. Limestone can be provided at cost - sizes and shapes will vary. Bring the following tools if you have them: chisels, hammers, power tools, angle grinders, extension cords, small compressors. If you do not have these tools, they will be provided for you. Additional workshop items include:
a pencil, notebook, charcoal, gloves, safety glasses, dust masks, all available at your local hardware.
