Mon, 04/22/2013 - 10:00am
Gov. Paul LePage is calling for the state of Maine to join the people of the city of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in a moment of silence this afternoon, April 22, to mark one week following the Boston Marathon bombings.
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and The One Fund have called for the minute of silence to take place at 2:50 p.m. to honor the victims of the attacks and their families. The first of two bombs exploded April 15 near the marathon finish line. Bells are expected to toll across Massachusetts after the minute-long tribute to the victims.
