UPDATED: Wiscasset, Woolwich schools now closed through April 26

UPDATE: Woolwich’s district, Regional School Unit 1, also announced Friday its schools will stay closed through April 26.

Original post, of Wiscasset Superintendent of Schools Terry Wood’s statement at wiscassetschools.org: “In an effort to mitigate and slow the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Mills and the Department of Education have recommended the continued importance of social distancing. Based on these recommendations, Wiscasset schools will be closed through April 26, 2020.

“When additional information becomes available, I will update our community. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support during this time. Stay healthy and well.”
