Two Bridges celebrates National Correctional Officers Week
The week of May 5-11 is National Correctional Officers Week. Two Bridges Regional Jail celebrated the week with a special luncheon for officers on May 7.
Correctional Officers enjoyed a wonderful menu of roast beef, chicken, baked potato and strawberry cheesecake provided by Aramark Correctional Services, the food service provider for the jail.
A new Perfect Attendance program was unveiled recognizing employees who have had perfect attendance annually from May 1 to April 30. Thirty-three employees qualified, with five recognized for two years or more perfect attendance. A plaque will be placed in the lobby.
The directors of the Lincoln and Sagadahoc Multicounty Jail Authority wrote a letter to employees thanking them for their dedicated service, especially in uncertain funding times. The letter said, “TBRJ staff continue to meet or exceed the State of Maine expectations with regards to training, compliance, programs, education and re-entry and that is only because of you and the work you do . . . The Authority wishes to extend to you our appreciation for you, your work ethic and your position.”
