Considering the office you are running for, what do you feel are the three most pressing issues (350 words or less): Money – there's never enough, and we as the school board are responsible for making the most out of it. Teachers – without teachers, you don't have a school. We need to make sure we are attracting and retaining qualified, talented classroom teachers and support staff. School environment – if schools can't provide a safe and supportive environment, students won't do much learning!

Any other thoughts on why you are running or what you can bring to the office? 150 words or less: I worked in a children's library for several years and have a master's degree in library and information science, so I have experience with education. I love living in Wiscasset and hope to raise a family here. Finally, my father was an elementary school teacher, so I've been lucky enough to see what's on the other side of the chalkboard, so to speak.
