Despite Wednesday, July 23’s bright sunny weather and warm temperatures, a cold front has moved in. The National Weather Service in Gray, Maine issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Midcoast Maine starting Wednesday night, with weather clearing Thursday.
The cause of the rain was a cold front that is slowly moving its way across New Hampshire, Meteorologist James Brown in Gray said.
