Annual Audubon lobster bake on Hog Island Aug. 31
Reserve your place today for a chance to enjoy a traditional lobster bake on Hog Island, Sunday, Aug. 31. The event costs $40 and includes transportation to and from the island, a feast of lobster, clams, corn, potatoes and onions cooked in a bed of seaweed on the beach plus lemonade, a delectable dessert and shade-grown bird-safe coffee to finish off the meal.
We invite you to come early and enjoy the camaraderie by the fire, or take a walk on the island until the meal is revealed. The first boat to the island will be at 3 p.m., dinner will be served at 5 p.m. (BYOB) and the last boat will leave the island at 7 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about your local chapter, Mid-Coast Audubon, and also visit the Hog Island Audubon Camp. To reserve a spot email sschubel@tidewater.net — subject “LOBSTERS” (preferred method) or call 207-380-1370 by Aug. 25. Mail payment to Seafood Sue, 11 Audubon Road, Bremen, ME 04551.
