If you have creative ideas about what makes an awesome play-space for our local youth, we want you! Wiscasset Schools are preparing for the transition from a three school building district to a two school building district for the 2015-16 school year.

The playground at the current Wiscasset Middle School building must be renovated in order to meet the needs of the student population that will be attending that school next year.

Please join us on Tuesday evening, March 31 at 6 p.m. in the Middle School cafeteria to brainstorm and discuss ideas about the playground renovation project. This meeting, facilitated by Wiscasset School Board member, Chelsea Haggett and Partners in Education (PIE) chair, Kim Andersson, is open to all community members and will give you an opportunity to view a presentation on different play-space elements and ideas, and even design your own “dream playground” with a small group!

This brainstorming session will help us understand what elements are important to our students, parents, teachers and community as a whole as we begin the planning process.
