Women’s health practitioner shares expertise
Carrie Levine, CNM, MSN, founder of Whole Woman Health in Newcastle, is offering Woman Talk, a three-talk series open to the public.
On June 16, the topic is Adrenal Health, June 30 is Thyroid Health, and the final talk in the series will be July 14 on Hormone Health.
All talks will be at Crow Point Yoga, 24 West Street, Boothbay Harbor from 6 to 7 p.m. A donation of $5 is requested, which will be donated to New Hope for Women.
Levine started Whole Woman Health in February 2014. The philosophy at Whole Woman Health is to provide time intensive, personalized health care for women, not only treating the physical, but incorporating the emotional and spiritual aspects of health as well.
This approach to health care stems from Levine’s experience practicing functional medicine at the world-renowned Women to Women Health Care Clinic in Yarmouth. The practice of functional medicine uncovers the root physiology driving a particular ailment. Seemingly unrelated symptoms often share a root cause. Nutritional and lifestyle modification are foundation treatments.
Whole Woman Health services include comprehensive gynecology, hormone balancing, digestive health, nutrition counseling and First Line Therapy.
