One taken to hospital after Wiscasset accident
A two-car motor vehicle accident sent one to the hospital Monday, Aug. 3, on Route 27 in Wiscasset.
Wiscasset Police Officer Benjamin Kolko said one person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries Monday afternoon.
At approximately 12:35 p.m., crews responded to Route 27 near Mike's Log Cabin in Wiscasset for a report of a two-car accident. Kolko said a white Volvo station wagon driven by Strohn Woodward, 72, of Boothbay, stopped on Route 27 to avoid hitting an animal when a gray Jeep driven by Amy Tooker, 25, of Wiscasset, allegedly struck the back of his vehicle.
Tooker was taken to Midcoast Hospital with unknown injuries after the crash. Crews from the Wiscasset Police Department, Wiscasset Fire Department and Wiscasset Ambulance all responded.
